"Vickie II"

The "Vickie II", before, during and after an extension of six feet. Originally powered with a Volvo 200HP and stern drive, she now is fitted with a 315HP Yanmar and V-drive. Performance result: Cruise 20 knots at 2650RPM. Max 29 knots at 3300RPM. Fuel consumption 40lph at 20 knots.
"Te Kouma"
The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron required a new vessel to assist with daily racing commitments around Auckland. During the America's Cup racing in Auckland they had used the "Macy Gray" in their fleet and decided that a 40' version of this particular vessel met their needs. They hired Sean to manage the development and construction of the vessel. This included engine selection and fitting, equipment layout, electrical installations etc. The vessel was commissioned using a design by Tim Barnett and built by Profab Engineering. Sean worked with the builders during the process, supplying progress reports to the Squadron at the completion of each stage. Here is the result. It speaks for itself. If you would like more information, the Squadron are usually only too happy to show it to you.
"Volare"

This vessel was bought unfinished by Wayne and Alison Scott of Ohope from Ray Scott, boatbuilder, of Helensville. Sean helped find the boat and assisted/advised with engine selection, fitting and project management. The vessel was fitted with a 6CX (420HP) Yanmar and since launching the Scotts have spent many hours cruising, diving and fishing from East Cape to Great Barrier Island. They have plans at some stage to spend a few months in Fiordland on the boat.
"Trapper"
This is a 28' fibreglass cray boat. Initially it had a 380HP Volvo through a 291 Jet. Cruising was around 12 knots. Max was 19 knots. Given the power to weight ratio of more than 100HP per ton, the performance left a lot to be desired. A shaft and ZF V-drive has now been fitted along with a 6CX (420HP) Yanmar. The cruising speed is now 20 knots and full bore is 27 knots.
